Thoughts From a Dad Who Just Moved His Daughter to College

Yesterday we moved our daughter into her college dorm. Over 4,000 freshmen are attending Liberty University this Fall, and they all moved into their dorms on the same day! Traffic was bumper to bumper over the entire campus, but the Liberty Student-Leaders were stationed to direct traffic, answer questions, and even to carry all of the luggage! They made the process so easy. We spent several hours working on Gabby’s room – unpacking her boxes, organizing her clothes, rearranging the room, making her bed, etc. Her roommate is wonderful, and Gabby also… Read More
A Man of Worship; A Man of War
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, (Psalm 30:11 ESV) David was such a diverse leader. Having written many of the Psalms, David typically expresses himself as either a man of worship or a man of war. It’s either: “I will bless The Lord at all… Read More
Reminders from the Book of Revelation
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Your Sorrow Can Be Turned to JOY
Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. (Psalm 126:5, 6 ESV) The psalmist not only reflected back on the faithfulness of God who had brought them out of bondage, he also spoke prophetically of the day when the tears of God’s people would be replaced with laughter and joy – forever! The bible is clear regarding the difficult times we face. Jesus Himself said, “In this… Read More
The JOY of Your Salvation | a prophetic word
Prophecy is a privileged gift that Jesus gives to His Church. Speaking on behalf of God is a weight of responsibility that must be shouldered with humility and a sense of privilege. Still, there is a boldness that arises in my spirit as the Holy Spirit reveals words of edification, exhortation, and comfort to His church. In mid-September I sensed the Holy Spirit speaking the following prophetic word. I declared it to our church, New Hope Worship Center, in the introductory message of our current series, entitled “JOY!” (All messages are available… Read More
