One Life to Give
I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. (John 12:24 NLT)
When He said these words, not only was Jesus referring to His own life being laid down, in order for many to be raised to new life; He also revealed a principle that applies to my life today.
If I will lay down my life for Jesus and for others, the result will be a life with multiplied effectiveness and impact.
I have one life. Will I live it for myself, and use it up? Or will I invest it into others, and watch it multiply?
Father, help me to see beyond myself to invest into others.
Amen.
Praise God Brother. You described the way I used to live, for myself. In and out of being in fellowship with the Father, deciding to do something and asking
God to bless it…my idea not His. Didn’t happen!! THEN, or But God moment happened in my life and I finally fully surrendered my whole self to Him, and answered the call He had placed upon my life many years ago, Hallelujah! Now after preparing myself in school for four years, I now am involved in street ministry in Charlotte and other places, preaching here and there, praying for people laying hands on the infirmed and seeing healing take place. It is all the Holy Spirit living through me and touching those He chooses to touch. But I had to die to myself first, and now many seeds are being harvested for the Kingdom of God.
Thank you Pastor Dale. I miss you and Love you. I bless you in the Name of Jesus and pray you become all that God has created you to be in Him, in Jesus Name…Amen.
